Jordan Bratman (born June 4, 1977) is a successful American music producer and the husband of singer Christina Aguilera. The two were married on November 19, 2005 in Napa Valley, California.
The son of a music producer, Bratman landed his first gig in the music industry at the early age of 16. He soon went on to intern at several recording studios in New York City, his hometown. After graduating from the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York in 1995, Bratman pursued his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School in Louisiana. While a student there, Jordan began seeking out and recording local artists at The American Sector Recording Studio in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Bratman's ear for profitable music acts attracted the attention of Grammy Award Winning Producer Dallas Austin, who in 1999, appointed Jordan as the head of A&R for Atlanta-based DARP Music, Inc. DARP quickly emerged as one of the most successful music production companies worldwide and in two short years Jordan went on to serve as Austin’s manager, overseeing the development and production of a wide array of certified hits for music heavyweights including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, TLC, and P!nk.
After forming his own independent management shingle, Jordan relocated to Los Angeles, where he was picked by UMG Soundtracks to act as a consultant to Universal Pictures, collaborating on soundtracks for films including Bad Boys 2 and Honey.
Most recently, Bratman has teamed up with Azoffmusic Management.
